A student came to me and asked if we could participate with our school in the Street Soccer Tournament, going up against other schools. First, regional and, eventually, the national championship organised by SCI for schools. The first time, right away, was a huge success. The students thought it was great. 4-4 soccer on the street with boarding and a professional organisation. In the years that followed, SCI grew bigger and the tournaments became larger. Not only soccer but also basketball and dance joined the tour. During the tournaments, the students did not get bored because there was so much to do, for example, show teams, individual competitions, etc. Always everything had good background music and a very capable tournament staff.

A great idea from SCI is that the schools that apply for the tournament, have the opportunity to bring the inflatable soccer courts, baskets, etc. back to their own school. For a number of years we have been doing this and fill in our sports day for the closing of the school year. Every year, this event is a huge success. Even more so because SCI always provides a pile of prizes (T-shirts, caps, bags, etc.). The cooperation and contact with SCI has been great for years. We, as the physical education staff, are very happy with SCI, but also our board is happy with the positive PR for our school. We hope that we will work together for many years to come. Except for these tournaments, SCI also organises many clinics for schools (for example basketball rhythm) with a very enthusiastic staff who know how to motivate the students.
