Sport Consult International bv was founded in 1985. Starting as a five-year fundraising project for the Dutch heart foundation and sports clubs, SCI grew into a considerable sports management and marketing bureau. Our mission statement is based on the vision of our founder Gerrit Zwezerijnen, a well known basketball coach and advisor for national and international organisations, such as National Invitation Tournament (NIT), Stichting Vlaamse Schoolsport (SVS), International School Sport Federation (ISF), Federation International du Sport pour Toutes, Landelijke Contactraad (LC) and other sports federations. His vision has inspired sports in the Netherlands, because he contributed for many years to its policy. His vision of social responsibility is the foundation for the contribution garnered by participating in sports. This has translated into projects where the key elements are sports stimulation, social integration and participation in contribution to a responsible and healthy lifestyle. The numerous school sports projects are clear examples.

SCI brings various partners together in projects where each party reaches specific marketing and communication goals. Using the SCI formula, our events reach a huge amount of participants within the carefully chosen target group by working with city councils, governments, sports federations, business partners and media. The marketing formula from SCI contains the routed experience of the participant. SCI’s strategy determines a deep impact on the participant within large groups of sports practitioners. This has its repercussion on the marketing and communication goals of our partners as well on sports stimulation in general.
